Losing Two Wars at Once

I guess it takes a real superpower to screw up two global wars at once. We've all known for some time what a no-win situation Iraq is, that is, unless Bush decides to follow Niall Ferguson's suggestion to start massacring whole towns. (One wonders how long before we start carpet bombing.) Now the New York Times reports that we're blowing continue blowing it in the war on drugs, too: "Opium Harvest at Record Level in Afghanistan."

We better watch out about getting involved in any more wars. Taking on Iran may just cause the American Empire to collapse.
