I Love the Smell of Democracy Burning in the Morning
This is the funniest, most right on bit that the Daily Show has done in a long while.
A lot of folks in the audience gasped when the Show asked how Americans would like to hear the Bush administration's words about the deaths of civilians and destruction in Lebanon as an opportunity to make a better Middle East used to describe 9/11. It's one thing for Bush to argue in favor of Israel's response (including attacks on civilian targets and on Lebanon's civilian infrastructure), but to belittle these deaths as the eggs you have to break to made a--what?--peace omelet, is just more proof that George Bush is morally malformed.
