Ooops...we did it again
I just came across the not surprising news that the Department of Homeland Security and the Bush administration just can't help themselves. In an AP story today, it is reported that although the DHS had declared that they had either indicted or let go all of the 1,200 or so Arab and Muslim men they swept up in the days after 9/11, it turns out they've still got one (but heck, could be more).
Ali Partovi, according to the story, "is not charged with a crime, not suspected of a crime, not considered a danger to society. But he has been in custody for five years."
So is incompetence the price of freedom?
